Windows 95 released by Microsoft on August 24th 1995, becomes 22 years today and celebrates its 22nd birthday.

Windows 95, code named Chicago is a consumer-oriented operating system developed by Microsoft. It was released on August 24, 1995, and was a significant improvement over the company’s previous MS-DOS–based Windows products.

Windows 95 was among very initial Graphical Interface operating system developed by Microsoft, which was later replaced by its successor Windows 98 and other future Versions of Windows.

Initially Windows 95 was shipped without any Internet browser, later on Internet Explorer Version 1 was available as an additional.
