Recently in an advertisement Honda (Pakistan) re-calls its vehicles due to possible Air bag malfunctioning. Honda told in advertisement that during deployment, air bag inflator body may explode due to intense and excessive internal air pressure, may results as injuries to vehicle occupants.

 

They called following vehicles models to their nearest service station for Air bag replacements.

  • Honda Civic Oriel (Model 2006-2012).
  • Honda CRV (Model 2008-2011).
  • Honda accord (Model 2004-2014).

Earlier in 2014, Honda and Toyota both have recalled more than 4 million vehicles world wide to re test their Air bags and replace them free of cost, if any malfunctioning is found in those vehicles.

The airbags were manufactured by Takata Corporation (TYO:7312), a Tokoyo-based designer and maker of seat belts, child seats and other car-safety components. It’s one of numerous Japanese auto parts manufacturers targeted in recent years by the U.S. Justice Department for conspiring to fix prices.
