Pakistan Cricket Board reveals, Pakistan VS World XI Independence Cricket Cup Trophy yesterday in an event. Pakistan Cricket Team Captain ‘Sarfraz Ahmed’ and World XI cricket team captain ‘Faf du Plessis’ were present at the event. Both Captains were present there in a very friendly mood and shared some gossips with media as well.
Keep notified that Independence Cup will start today and will be aired online on official sponsor website. PCB also announced online ticket booking for the event.
Following are highlights from events
First match of the Independence Cup between Pakistan and World XI will held today September 12 2017 in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore. It will be a night game and is scheduled to start at 7:30 pm IST.
To revive International Cricket in Pakistan, International Cricket Council (ICC) team known as World XI has arrived in Pakistan. A three match t20 series will be  held between Pakistan Cricket team and World XI.
South Africa’s Faf du Plessis is the captain for World XI team while Sarfraz Ahmed is leading team from Pakistan. All the three T20Is will be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
The World XI squad comprises of five players from South Africa, three from Australia, two from West Indies and one each from Bangladesh, England, Sri Lanka and New Zealand.
Apart from Faf du Plessis, Hashim Amla, David Miller, More Morkel and Imran Tahir are the other South Africans. Former England T20I captain Paul Collingwood is the lone player from his country. Former Zimbabwe captain Andy Flower will coach the team.
Pakistan Squad: Sarfraz Ahmed, Fakhar Zaman, Ahmed Shehzad, Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik, Umar Amin, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Fahim Ashraf , Hasan Ali, Aamer Yamin, Mohammad Amir, Rumman Raees, Usman Khan, Sohail Khan.
World XI Squad: Faf du Plessis, Hashim Amla, George Bailey, Paul Collingwood, Ben Cutting, George Elliott, Tamim Iqbal, David Miller, Tim Paine, Thisara Perera, Darren Sammy, Samuel Badree, Morne Morkel, Imran Tahir.
